High School Students

91´«Ã½ offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity for early enrollment in college courses. Students who may be interested in early studies should discuss the program with parents, high school counselors, and GBC counselors. Students must have the approval of their high school principal or guidance counselor to enroll in college classes.

Qualified sophomores, juniors and seniors may register for courses each semester or during a summer session. High school students below the junior level will be considered on a case by case basis in accordance with NSHE Early Enrollment policy. Students may need to complete an assessment test or provide ACT/SAT scores for enrollment in some courses. The credits earned may fulfill requirements of a GBC degree or certificate of achievement program.

Dual-credit courses are college courses for which high school students may receive simultaneous high school and college credit. The list of dual-credit courses and the necessary forms can be found at
/academics/dualcredit.html

Concurrent enrollment courses are college courses taught at a high school by a high school instructor mutually agreed upon by the NSHE institution and high school.
